I always use the play type but, now that i'm playing online i give away my plays real easy. How do you lean about the formations and what plays to choose.In madden nfl 08 or any madden how do you lean about formations and which is best to choose and when to use it?
On the PS format, I prefer the Singleback formation...This gives me at least 3 WR's and a TE and HB...So I'm able to run a slick passing game and if need be call for screens or short pass/toss for the running back...

There are normally tutorials within the games, so things like that can be learned within the games. Also, googling these things are something that you can do to learn about it.



Word of advice, for online play...use a formation to run a play one or twice on a drive, then either a few plays later or early on the next drive, use the same formation to call a play action and you can generally get a good number of yards.
