They are basically the same. The PSP has superstar challenge which is a game mode where you are put into different scenarios. There is no create a player. You can only edit players (Names,Numbers, etc.).
The PS2 has superstar mode which is you have control only of the one player you choose to the superstar mode with. PS2 version has create a player.
